Hey there!
I read the chapter about Hannah's 6th reason to kill herself. The chapter, and also my post is about Marcus Cooley. And what he did is cruel. Hannah is very disappointed and I understand that. She's more than disappointed. She's desperately disappointed, exploited and humiliated. And that is Marcus' fault. He pretended to like her. Hannah thought he was serious. She started to be hopeful again. But he destroyed her. He came late to the date and then he thronged her. He tried to touch and kiss her and wouldn't let go until she pushed him away
hard. The cafe was full of people so Hannah was lucky Marcus couldn't do more.
But what's shocking most, is Marcus' reaction to the tapes. He wasn't ashamed and didn't feel sorry at all! what kind of people can be so cruel?! He joked about Hannah. About her feelings and actions he caused!
I have to say I feel very sorry about Hannah. There's no way anyone deserves to suffer like her. Except Marcus maybe?!

I think you are totally right. Marcus' behavior is very cruel and unfair, because he is the one who did a big mistake. I enjoyed reading your blogpost entry, because it is interesting and well written :)
AntwortenLöschenI liked reading your post, too. You`re absolutely right in thinking Marcus is guilty at all, because he doesn`t feel sorry for what Hannah blames him for. In my opinion he should receive some consequences of the other people on the list, so that he feels kind of Hannah felt...
